convert a project in iMovie 10.1.2 to .mov format

The "export project" function seems to be removed from the File menu in the transition of iMovie from version 9 to version 10. I want to convert a project to the .mov format so I can burn a DVD, and the software I use - Toast - can't recognize the project file as it exists in 10.1.2. I am currently running OS 10.11.5 on my iMac.

20" iMac, dual intel, Mac OS X (10.4.9), ethernet connectivity
